Qualifications

• State/county/city security license preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening per law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials and directing authorized individuals.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at access points and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, and perimeter.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems in Vance, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor information, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at automotive facility access points, report unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, production or service locations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
