Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal grounds, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and logistics operations.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time TWIC Patrol Driver in Wilmington, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal grounds, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and logistics‑related operations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific protocols and promptly reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TWIC issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
