Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution site in New Jersey. The role features fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and a scheduling platform to pick up extra shifts, boosting earnings and gaining experience across sites.

You will provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, monitor movements, and prepare daily reports in accordance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC card is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, delivery-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and document the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
