Job summary

Allied Universal in Parkesburg, PA is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Support to provide reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site. This role offers part-time shifts with Anchor Shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will perform unarmed patrols, assist with access control, and deliver courteous customer service to clients and visitors while maintaining a professional presence. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Background in customer service is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to be completed as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by following site policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including entrances and parking areas.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and access concerns and report observations.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and direction of customers and associates.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Support in Parkesburg, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Customer Service Experience (B219):

• A background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and visitors.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and access concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and direction of customers and associates while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
