Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Scott Township, PA. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings, up to a 40-hour schedule per week when needed.

Pay rate is $19.50 per hour with a six-month anchor shift commitment at a designated site, aiming to provide reliable hours and income stability for a part-time schedule in a healthcare research location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors following site procedures.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to verify credentials and report suspicious activity.
• Assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic during alarms, evacuations, and medical events.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Scott Township, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and Allied Universal standards within a healthcare research location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security‑related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized persons.
• Support emergency response activities and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic during alarms, evacuations, medical events, and other site disruptions as instructed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
