Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and receiving areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazardous conditions, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and traffic flow while maintaining professional communication and supporting a positive shopping environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Parkesburg, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$16.00 / Hour

Customer Service Experience (B219):

• A background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and visitors.

Job Schedule

• Sun 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazardous conditions, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and traffic flow while maintaining professional communication and supporting a positive shopping environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
