Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced for a part-time, fixed-shift role at an Atlanta, GA site. The position offers reliable hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform and to earn more through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Responsibilities include visitor and employee screening, responding to incidents, patrolling government facilities and monitoring access according to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Armed roles require at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and the public while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeters.
• Monitor restricted areas and verify credentials, reporting unusual activity.
• Prepare clear incident and patrol reports per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri11:00 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security‑related observations in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
