Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Atlanta, GA. This role offers flexible fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Protection in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.


• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and verify authorization for persons entering restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific procedures.


• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and maintain required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.


• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
