Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. This flexible role offers reliable hours at a commercial real estate site and opportunities to earn more by picking up extra shifts when available.

You will perform site-specific security procedures, respond calmly to incidents, and complete daily reports. The position requires at least 2 years of security experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports and communicate information to site management.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
