Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Route Verification to provide reliable, flexible security coverage at a designated site. The role offers steady hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will enforce site policies, perform daily patrols of manufacturing areas and access points, verify credentials, and respond calmly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license, a Guard Card/license (preferred).
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting entries/exits per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and handoffs maintaining professional presence on site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Route Verification in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence throughout the industrial location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
