Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide customer service, patrol responsibilities, and incident response at a designated site.

This role uses fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and offers the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.

• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout retail areas, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding property to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, reporting incidents per site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate with store management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

DayTime Fri 04:00 PM – 11:30 PM Sat 04:00 PM – 11:30 PM Sun 04:00 PM – 11:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting incidents and potential concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate with store management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
