Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver in Houston, TX. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick extra shifts via our scheduling platform, allowing flexible hours and higher earnings while gaining experience.

You will provide customer service, respond to incidents, conduct armed patrols, monitor access points, and complete incident reports. A Texas Level III Armed Certification and 3+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Valid Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 21+ for armed roles; background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with leadership and responders as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the store area to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain required documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Coverage in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon 04:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, observations, and security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
