Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Kansas City, MO. This role offers fixed shifts with anchor scheduling and a program to pick up extra shifts, allowing you to earn more while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Pay rate is $16.79 per hour, with the option to scale work up to 40 hours weekly. The position emphasizes customer service to tenants and employees, with duties including patrols, access control, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in alignment with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Pay Rate: $16.79 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
