Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations and actions.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, entrances, stockrooms, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for policy violations or suspicious behavior; relay observations to site leadership or responders.
• Maintain a professional presence and assist with directing visitors and supporting orderly operations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Property Protection in Jonestown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to retail location visitors, employees, and/or vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, loading areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential policy violations, suspicious behavior, or merchandise‑related concerns; communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a professional presence throughout the location and assist with directing visitors, supporting orderly operations, and providing information consistent with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
