Job summary

Allied Universal in Allentown, PA is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer to support customer safety at a designated site. You’ll work fixed anchor shifts and have the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

This role offers a competitive pay rate of $21.96 per hour, part-time hours, and a path toward full-time opportunities within a dynamic, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, sales areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and maintenance or security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
