• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and document observations for site contacts.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity and assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Operations in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.43 / Hour

Age Requirement:

• All candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment (C101). This requirement is in place to comply with legal regulations and company policies.

Access Control/Badge Experience:

• Candidates must have prior experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). This experience is essential for roles that involve security and access management within our facilities.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution location, including loading areas, parking lots, access points, trailer areas, and perimeter boundaries.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized activity or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow, and report hazards, damage, suspicious activity, or policy concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
