Allied Universal in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide customer service and protect assets at a designated site. The role offers flexible hours and the possibility to take additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will respond to incidents, patrol designated areas, monitor access, and document activities following site procedures. A valid driver\'s license, high school diploma, and background check are required; pay is $20.40 per hour

Qualifications

• A valid driver\'s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to site management.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Customer Service Patrol in Overland Park, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and associate activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site management and/or appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
