Job summary

Allied Universal in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

You will perform patrols, monitor access, assist visitors, and respond to incidents while upholding customer service standards. Pay is $20.00 per hour, with day shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and a pathway to full-time roles through training and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintain daily activity reports, and communicate observations to leadership.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions and documenting incidents and follow-up requests.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting visitors, and documenting incidents and requests for follow-up.
