Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Miami, FL. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while maintaining flexibility.

Pay rate is $22.26 per hour with the potential to scale up hours up to 40 per week. This position emphasizes customer service, incident reporting, and adherence to site-specific security

Formación

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or equivalent education/certifications.
• State/local security license preferred.
• Baton Certification preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• Criminal background screen as required by law.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participate in security training programs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Vehicle Patrol in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 12:00 AM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at government facilities while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and security‑related policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, directing visitors and contractors in accordance with location procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and promptly communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or public‑service personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
