Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Miami, FL. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up extra shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

The position supports guarding transit facilities and ensuring the safety of passengers and staff. Responsibilities include customer service at transit locations, armed patrols, incident response, and monitoring restricted areas.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of security-related experience preferred.
• Armed Guard Card/License required; baton certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Guard Card Patrol in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $27.01 / Hour

DayTimeTue04:30 AM - 02:45 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations using required reporting procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Officer, or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
