Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Miami, FL. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift plus the opportunity to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, designed to increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

Pay rate is $25.75 per hour, with daytime shifts from 06:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Applicants must have armed security credentials, a guard card, and meet minimum experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established protocols and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain logs per site procedures and regulations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Security Patrol in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site‑specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.


• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.


• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required logs in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed security professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.


• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.


• A Guard Card or license is preferred.


• CPR Certification is preferred.


• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
