Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Monitoring in Hialeah, FL. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with options to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

Pay is $19.00 per hour with a part-time schedule. You will perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors at a utility site.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, substations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
