Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Veteran in Miami, FL. • Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge or equivalent military documentation.
• Associates Degree or 60 college credits.
• Police or Corrections academy certificate preferred.

• Handcuffing and baton certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while enforcing site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances calmly and coordinate with public safety when needed.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel and deliveries.
• Prepare clear incident and patrol reports and communicate findings to supervisors.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Veteran in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$22.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate public service personnel when needed.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security‑related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associates Degree, 60 College Credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Baton Certification preferred.
• Armed Guard Card/License preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification preferred.
• Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
