The Security Officer Enhanced – Part Time position at our New Orleans site provides reliable hours with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $16.99 per hour. Typical schedule includes Sat 6:00 PM–10:30 PM and Sun 7:00 PM–11:00 PM, with a six‑month anchor shift and a program to earn more through additional shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required per law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site security procedures at a retail location.
• Screen entrants, verify access, and direct visitors per procedures.
• Monitor entry points and report unusual conditions to staff.
• Respond to incidents calmly following established protocols.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Contraband Detection in New Orleans, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.99 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Sun: 07:00 PM – 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Screen individuals entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures, including verifying access authorization and directing visitors as needed.
• Observe entry points, customer areas, and surrounding activity for unusual conditions or policy concerns, and promptly report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
