Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Deescalation in New Orleans, LA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $15.50 per hour. The position includes fixed shifts, a program to claim extra shifts, and potential progression toward full‑time roles through paid training and career growth opportunities within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies, including emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional manner, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and unusual activity.

Job Schedule:

Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
