Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in New York, NY. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

You will provide security and customer service at a financial institution, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents. The position supports part-time schedules with potential path to full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of trading, office, lobby, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily patrol activities.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Entry Verification in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of trading, office, lobby, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
