Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in Baton Rouge, LA. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in Baton Rouge, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, access points, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
