Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor check-in requirements, and vehicle entry documentation per site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs and promptly report unauthorized-access attempts or security concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization Driver in Freeport, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Fri: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor check‑in requirements, and vehicle entry documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access‑control logs and promptly report unauthorized‑access attempts, suspicious activity, and security‑related concerns to the appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site notification and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
