Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Intake Driver in Houston, TX. This role provides fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings while maintaining reliability at a designated site.

The position offers part-time hours with the potential to scale toward a full-time schedule, and includes training, real-time shift visibility, and access to employee perks.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity or conditions requiring attention.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete incident reports, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Intake Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
