Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA. You’ll work a fixed anchor shift with six-month commitment and have the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year law enforcement or 2 years security supervision/management experience, or 3 years security-related experience.

• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as part of employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical and petrochemical location following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and vehicle or delivery information before entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and alarm or communication systems; maintain documentation.
• Respond calmly to access-control concerns and incidents following emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and facilities to deter unauthorized entry.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 04:00 AM - 10:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical and petrochemical location by following site‑specific access‑control procedures and policies.
• Verify identification, credentials, access authorizations, and vehicle or delivery information before allowing entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and alarm or communication systems; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to access‑control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and designated facilities to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security‑related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security‑related experience.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
