Qualifications

• 1+ year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• TSA-issued TWIC.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• License may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, process visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access logs and documentation.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Management Driver in Freeport, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access points, verify credentials, process visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access‑related logs and documentation.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, unauthorized‑entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access issues, and security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
