As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Validation in Gregory, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access points; verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain required access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; promptly communicate observations through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Support site operations by directing visitors and contractors, providing clear information, and escalating access exceptions and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
