Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Emergency Dispatch Desk in Washington, DC. You will coordinate security communications, monitor alarms and access control, and dispatch officers to support campus operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, routine requests, and emergency incidents using available communication systems.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs and incident-related records, documenting calls, dispatch activity, and relevant information in accordance with campus procedures.
• Coordinate communications between officers, campus departments, emergency responders, and/or other appropriate personnel during routine and critical situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information and requests for assistance as appropriate.

You will help maintain awareness of developing situations, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, routine requests, and emergency incidents using available communication systems.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs and incident-related records, documenting calls, dispatch activity, and relevant information in accordance with campus procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
