As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Emergency Dispatch in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.93 / Hour

Job Schedule

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Receive, document, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, maintenance‑related concerns, and other security‑related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor communication systems, cameras, alarms, and other security‑related equipment; maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with onsite personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security‑related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
