Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Bear, DE to provide dependable, flexible security coverage with fixed shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The role offers a fixed-shift anchor with a six-month commitment and opportunities to earn more by taking on extra shifts across sites, supporting a part-time to full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch security-related calls, alarms, service requests, and incident notifications to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Monitor communications systems, document calls and dispatch activity, and maintain accurate records of incidents and follow-up actions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Support security-related operations at a financial institution location by communicating relevant information to staff and helping to maintain awareness of developing situations.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
