Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol facilities, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role emphasizes reporting, safety, and adherence to site policies. Pay is $17.25 per hour with a flexible daytime/evening schedule to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe building activity, reporting maintenance hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
