Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Dulles, VA. The role involves coordinating communications, monitoring activity, and supporting timely responses to security-related matters at a tech/media/telecom location.

The position offers a part-time schedule and an hourly pay rate of $27.00. You will maintain dispatch logs, assist with access control, and provide exceptional customer service while helping deter incidents.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor incoming communications, alarms, and service requests; dispatch personnel and coordinate responses to incidents, critical situations, and facility-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, shift activity reports, and other documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Communicate clearly with on-site personnel, management, and emergency responders to relay relevant information and support timely response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, and designated areas to identify and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and maintenance issues.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
