Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Council Bluffs, IA to join a dynamic team. In this full-time unarmed role, you will provide customer service to employees and visitors while patrolling interior and exterior areas to deter incidents and protect assets.

You will verify credentials, monitor access points, document entries and exits, and respond calmly to alarms and emergencies. A high school diploma and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and data infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting the continuity of technology operations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
