Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas and perimeter to identify issues.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management to maintain authorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations with calm, documenting actions per site requirements.
• Complete accurate logs and incident reports and communicate information to leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Control in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and provide professional customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and customers. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, or facility issues.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain authorized entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site requirements.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
