Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Driving Role in Council Bluffs, IA to manage access, monitor points, and support safety at a utilities site while delivering excellent customer service. This is a full-time, on-site position with a driving component.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and 18+ years of age for unarmed positions, plus a background check and drug screening where permitted by law. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.

• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Driving Role in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. You will manage entry and visitor access, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and access-control concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
