Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Business Center Patrol in Tempe, AZ. You will monitor and patrol financial institution sites, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year security experience, a high school diploma, and a willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening where permitted by law. CPR is preferred and driving position requirements apply where relevant.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws before employment.
• Policy allows consideration of applicants with criminal histories per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and promptly; notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot/vehicle patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain logs and reports.
• Report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to designated personnel.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by observing and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
