Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Incident Assessment in Queens, NY, to provide visible security, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies. This part-time role offers evening/weekend schedules and on-site duties at a busy transit location.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, and deliver professional customer service to riders and staff while maintaining post qualifications and reporting duties. A valid license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Law enforcement officer license is required.
• Armed Guard Card/license is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate transit personnel and emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, station areas, entrances, exits, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization when applicable, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations through established reporting channels.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications, follow applicable laws and site procedures regarding assigned equipment, and complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a high-visibility public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service to riders and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $34.70 - $35.70 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
