Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Patrol Emergency Intervention officer for Queens, NY. You will provide armed patrols, respond to security incidents, and assist passengers and staff, while upholding company values of integrity and teamwork.

Role is full-time with day/night schedule and competitive hourly pay. You will work at public transit facilities, maintaining safety and order through professional communication and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in security training programs.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while following site procedures and emergency response activities at public transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, transit yards, buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment and complete incident reports and daily activity logs per Allied Universal and site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Intervention in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional assistance to passengers and staff. You will represent Allied Universal through clear communication, integrity, teamwork, and a caring, reliable approach while helping maintain an orderly environment.

Pay Rate: $34.70 - $35.70 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate transit personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, transit yards, buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment and complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
