Job summary

Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Officer for full-time licensed patrol protection. You will serve clients across various industries, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support safety and customer service for employees and visitors.

Applicants must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License, be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), have a high school diploma, and pass background and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding perimeter areas, and other designated locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and contacting emergency services as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, and public-facing personnel regarding incidents and daily activities.

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Protection in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
