Job summary

Allied Universal in Queens, NY is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Armed Field Patrol to protect transit operations and the public. You will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professional communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Maintain possession and proper handling of assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of observations, incidents, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated transit personnel.
