Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in Queens, NY. This part-time role involves patrolling transit facilities, deterring incidents, and providing professional customer service while adhering to site policies and regulations.

You will carry out armed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain documentation in compliance with laws. A valid law enforcement license and an armed guard card/licence are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred and may be required depending on state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor areas for hazards, suspicious persons, unattended property, and report observations per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, coordinating with transit personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain reports and logs related to patrols and incidents as required by law and site rules.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $34.70 - $35.70 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, transit yards, buildings, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor assigned areas for potential hazards, suspicious persons, unattended property, and/or policy violations, and report observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain required reports, logs, and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and security-related activities while following applicable laws, regulations, and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
