Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Situational Awareness in Manassas, VA. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to explore new shifts using our Claim a Shift platform.

You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, and assist residents and visitors with professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, and document security-related incidents and observations.
• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, staff, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming residential environment.

Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

What You\'ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
