• Maintain readiness of authorized equipment and comply with all laws and Allied Universal policies related to armed post duties.

As a Security Officer Armed - Part Time Perimeter Patrol Driver in Fairfax, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sun 10:00 AM - 03:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions, and document incidents and observations in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain readiness of authorized equipment and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies related to armed post duties.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid Virginia DCJS license.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
