Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol Situational Awareness in Manassas, VA. You will provide service to residents and staff, conduct patrols, monitor entries, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will respond to incidents and emergencies with professional poise, support residents and visitors, and help create a safe, welcoming environment. Prior armed-guard credentials and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Experience with access control systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, and document security‑related incidents and observations.
• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, staff, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming residential environment.

Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
