Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Woodbridge, VA. You will conduct routine armed patrols, monitor access, and provide professional customer service to government sites while following post orders and safety procedures.

Must possess an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. Minimum high school diploma; background check and drug screen required. Schedule includes DayTime Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM and Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
• Verify credentials and access for visitors and contractors per site procedures.
• Carry equipment in compliance with laws and post orders and document incidents daily.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government utility locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in compliance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and post orders; complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
